Chris, Aoife and a Goat Rodeo

Event Details

A third sneak peek video is out in advance of the October 24 release of The Goat Rodeo Sessions.

This superstar project features four renowned instrumentalists, each widely-acknowledged as among the finest to ever play their instruments. Chris Thile is on mandolin, Stuart Duncan on fiddle, Edgar Meyer on bass and Yo-Yo Ma on cello. The music is collaborative, improvisational, and though Sony Masterworks lists it in their Classical category, intended to transcend any of the genres into which the individual artists are commonly pegged.

This latest video focuses on the album’s sole vocal track, a duet between Thile and Crooked Still’s Aoife O’Donovan called Here and Heaven.

Can’t wait for this one.
