Bull Harman – an eventful year

Event Details

We caught up recently with Bull and Tammy Harman, they of Bull Harman & Bull’s Eye and St. Louis Flatpick.

It turns out that Bull had surgery on November 11 to replace 2 discs in his neck. Tammy said that the doctors found more damage than they had anticipated, but that the surgery went well and Bull is getting better steadily in therapy. He hopes to return to work in January.

The band saw their first CD come out earlier this year. Aiming To Please features 14 tracks with Bull on guitar, Tammy on bass, Steve Cox on banjo, Hal Cottrell on mandolin, and JImmy Campbell on resonator guitar.

Tammy shared the details on St. Louis Flatpick 2011, their annual 2-day guitar camp held in… wait for it… St. Louis, MO. Instructors for the March 11-13 event will be Tim Stafford and Richard Bennett. You can find full tuition and registration details online.

Here’s hoping for a speedy return to the pink for Bull, one of our favorite speedy flatpickers!
