Bluegrass Today at FloydFest

Our intrepid festival team of Diane and Milo Farineau will be attending FloydFest next weekend, reporting back throughout the weekend with stories and photos, as their internet connection allows .

FloydFest is a mega music festival, with a wide mix of styles and genres over the course of four days in southwestern Virginia. Bluegrass and acoustic acts like Alison Krauss & Union Station, Ricky Skaggs, Steep Canyon Rangers, Sam Bush, Punch Brothers, and Leftover Salmon will go toe-to-toe with pop/rockers like Jackson Browne, Brandi Carlisle and Bruce Hornsby. There will also be blues artists, folkies, Celtic music and a fair sampling of sounds from other cultures.

We are setting up interviews with as many of these acts as we can. Keep an eye out for Diane and Milo’s coverage over the weekend, finishing up early next week.
