Bluegrass Jamboree dates for 2012 announced

Bluegrass JamboreeTour dates and performers have been announced for the 2012 Bluegrass Jamboree tour in Germany later this year.

A total of 18 shows are scheduled across Deutschland in November and December, each featuring performances by Caleb Klauder & Reeb Willms, Bearfoot, and Audie Blaylock and Redline.

This is the fourth year that Bluegrass Jamboree has brought bluegrass and Americana music to German audiences, which have been enthusiastically received.

Nora Jane Struthers with Bearfoot says that she and the band are psyched for the tour.

“We are super excited for the Bluegrass Jamboree Tour! Not only do we get tour Germany, but we get to travel with Audie Blaylock and Redline and Caleb Klauder & Reeb Willms. Just the bus rides alone will be be a party!”

Tour organizer Rainer Zellner tells us that before the Jamboree tour begins, Blue Highway will also make a brief stop in Germany during late October. One date has been booked (10/27), and additional shows are being scheduled now.

Zellner has been bringing US groups over since 1994, averaging 2-3 each year. He says that the success of  his efforts over time has allowed him to move the shows from smaller venue into major concert halls and theaters.

“Over the years I found slightly growing interest in the music, and started putting together this package tour Bluegrass Jamboree! – Festival of Bluegrass and Americana Music each year in December, for the first time in 2009.”

Also scheduled is a German tour with Joy Kills Sorrow in September and October, and visits early in 2013 from Toy Hearts (from England) and Deadly Gentlemen.

You can find all the Bluegrass Jamboree dates online, and see the tour information for the other shows on the bands’ web sites.
