Big Thursday for IIIrd Tyme Out

Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out will be in Nashville Thursday, with a big day planned both in town and online.

They will be at the Station Inn for a free live concert and interview, broadcast by WSM, starting at 5:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. EDT). Things will start with WSM’s Mike Terry talking with Russell Moore, and playing music from their current Rural Rhythm release, Prime Tyme. Particular attention will be given to Pretty Little Girl From Galax, a song that spent a lot of time on our Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay chart.

Then at 6:00 p.m. (CDT), the band will perform live on WSM’s Station Inn Sessions program, carried in real time on AM 650, and streamed worldwide at wsmonline.com. Admission to the event is free, and fans are encouraged to join the band for the festivities.

But wait… there’s more!

At the conclusion of the live radio concert, the music video for Pretty Little Girl From Galax will debut on the official IIIrd Tyme Out web site. From the looks of the photos we posted back in March, it would appear that everyone had a blast shooting the video, and we can’t wait to see the finished product.

The video was filmed in the city of Galax, VA with cooperation from the City Tourism Department and the Virginia State Parks authority. Sammy Passamano III  of Rural Rhythm served as director with Josh Trivett of Moonstruck Management producing.

A number of prominent Galaxers are featured as actors or extras, so you can bet that Internet traffic from SW Virginia will be intense on Thursday night!

We will also post the video here at Bluegrass Today when it is available.
