Awards Poll Update – 9/4/06

Event Details

After all the fun we had last year with our Awards Poll, we’re off and running again this year with our 2nd annual Bluegrass Blog Awards Poll. If you haven’t registered and voted yet, please join the fun.

As of this writing just over 10% of our registered users have voted. I’ll give you a snapshot of the results so far and then each week we’ll bring you an update and compair with the preceeding week’s results. We’ll report on Entertainer of the Year, any category that has less than a 5 point difference in the top two spots, and any that have changed drastically since the previous week.

Entertainer of the Year seems to be a race between Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and Cherryholmes. With Doyle outfront with a 12 point lead.

Instrumental Group of the Year is being hotly contested between three groups right now. Blue Highway at 29%, Mountain Heart at 28%, Rick Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder at 25%.

Banjo Player of the Year is seeing Terry Baucom hold a 4 point lead of Jim Mills.

Bass Player of the Year has only a 2 point difference between Jason Moore and Barry Bales.
