Audie Blaylock holding mandolin auditions

Attention SPBGMA-bound mandolinists and tenor singers. Patrick McAvinue, who plays fiddle with Audie Blaylock & Redline, tells us that they are hunting a new bandmate at SPBGMA next weekend in Nashville.

Darrell Webb had been handling the mandolin and tenor spot in Redline until his recent decision to strike out on his own with the Darrell Webb Band. The band focuses on tight harmony singing, so if you would like to be considered, you better bring your A game.

Here is the official announcement…

“Audie Blaylock and Redline is looking for a Mandolin Player/Singer! We need someone who is dedicated, hardworking and energetic to keep up with our intense tour schedule. If you are interested, we will be holding auditions at the 2010 SPBGMA in Nashville.

Please prepare the songs Two Lonely Hearts and Whispering Waters from the latest Audie Blaylock and Redline release, and one of your own that you feel display your abilities the best.

Look forward to pickin’! See you soon!”

The SPBGMA convention will be held February 4-7 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville. Patrick asks that anyone who would like to audition please contact him to arrange a convenient time. He can be reached by email or phone (260-615-1736).

The two songs can be heard on the band’s MySpace page.
