This information will include births and deaths; recording sessions; single, LP and CD release dates; and other interesting tidbits. Richard F. - June 13, 1966 LP released – The High Lonesome Sound Of Bill Monroe (Decca DL 4780) *
- June 13, 1996 For the first time ever in the history of the Bean Blossom Bluegrass Celebration festival started in 1967. Bill Monroe did not appear, being terminally ill.
- June 13, 1989 Recording session – Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys recorded on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville, Tennessee. **
