The first day of the Nothin’ Fancy Festival in Buena Vista, Virginia was a Virginia day. James King opened the show to an adoring crowd. He was followed by Reno and Harrell. The offspring of Don Reno and Bill Harrell are held in great esteem in Virginia. A local band called Southern Hospitality followed.
Larry Stephenson brought his excellent band to the show. Larry also joined James King on stage for a couple of excellent tunes. Nothin’ Fancy closed out the day.
There will be two more days of rousing bluegrass music here at the park.
