Bluegrass in Georgia

Event Details

We have had an interesting weekend of discovery regarding bluegrass in the great state of Georgia.

Friday night we went to a local gem called the Woodbine Opry. They have bluegrass shows on Friday and country music shows on Saturday in the Woodbine community center. They support the shows with donations, 50/50 drawings, and dessert giveaways. The evening’s music ended with everyone joining in the singing of God Bless America.

Saturday night we went up to Savanah to see Dale Ann Bradley at Randy Wood Guitars. The Pickin’ Parlor is a very intimate venue that affords all of the audience with close-up seats.
