World of Bluegrass registration opens up this month

Event Details

wob15The International Bluegrass Music Association has announced that event and hotel registration for the 2015 World of Bluegrass and Wide Open Bluegrass in Raleigh, NC will begin at the end of this month.

Members of the IBMA can register for the Business Conference (9/29-10/1), and purchase tickets for the International Bluegrass Music Awards (10/1) and the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival (10/2-3) starting on March 31 at 9:00 a.m. (CDT). Hotel registrations for that week in the downtown Raleigh area will open to members at the same time.

The general public will be invited to register on April 14 at 9:00 a.m. IBMA is happy to take new or renewal memberships before that time to allow for early registration on March 31.

Since the move to Raleigh in 2013, the popularity of these events has increased dramatically, and choice hotels in the immediate vicinity will go very quickly, possibly prior to the general open registration in April. Tickets or registration to at least one World of Bluegrass event are required in order to reserve hotel space downtown.

Registration for space in the exhibit hall, which is open October 1-4, also begins on March 31. Booth space includes conference registration.

Business Conference registration entitles attendees to enjoy all of the evening music concerts in the Bluegrass Ramble at no extra charge. Tickets for the Bluegrass Ramble only, which takes place in the Raleigh Convention Center and a variety of downtown venues, will also be offered.

The Awards Show and the weekend festival are separately ticketed. The lineup for the two-day Wide Open Bluegrass festival will be announced shortly.
