Brevard, NC’s Carolina Blue have announced their affiliation with Southern Belle Booking, managed by Leslie Brown in Burlington. There they join Nathan Stanley and Bobby Osborne who are also represented by Southern Belle.
Carolina Blue is working now on a new album which should be released in the near future. They are Bobby Powell on guitar, Tim Jones on mandolin, Reese Combs on bass, Seth Rhinehart on banjo, and Emma Best on fiddle. The group formed in 2007 following the release of Powell and Jones’ album, Nothing But Blue. They took first place in the South Carolina state bluegrass championship at RenoFest in 2011, and have gained the support of local bluegrass acts like Balsam Range and Steep Canyon Rangers.
