Roys take 5th ICM award

Event Details

The Roys at the 2013 ICM AwardsAt the 2015 Faith, Family & Country Awards show in Nashville, hosted by the Inspirational Country Music Association, The Roys accepted their 5th consecutive trophy for the Inspirational Bluegrass award.

The brother/sister duet team of Lee and Elaine Roy have been prominent bluegrass artists since 2010 when they changed their performing focus from country to bluegrass music. They have consistently recorded music with a hopeful, uplifting message, something the ICM Awards were created to honor.

Lee was taken aback at hearing their names announced yet again.

“To say it was an honor to capture our 5th ICM Bluegrass Artist award in a row is an understatement!! We are truly blessed and honored to have our peers pat us on the back and say your music matters! God is GREAT!!”

Also nominated for the association’s bluegrass award in 2015 were:

  • Darin & Brooke Aldridge
  • Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver
  • The Isaacs
  • James & Jeff Easter
  • Marty Raybon
  • Nathan Stanley
  • Rhonda Vincent
  • Ricky Skaggs
  • Wilburn & Wilburn

The awards show will be broadcast later this year on The Family Channel, Heartland, NRB Network, TCT Networks, The Worship Network, Lifestyle/CTN Network and Total Living Network.
