Thursday at Charlotte 2016

Event Details

The Spinney Brothers at the 2016 Charlotte Bluegrass Festival - photo © Bill WarrenThursday started out as the one day at Charlotte that always happens – a little chilly and misty. Late afternoon brought warmth and a little sunshine and the rest of the weekend promises lots of sun and warmth.

Local bands were the Thursday theme. Michigan and Ohio have really talented bands. The day was kicked off by Steam Powered Bluegrass. They were followed by Heart to Heart, Breakline, Deadwood, and Harbourtown. The Spinney Brothers capped off the day’s stage show.

Jerry Eicher’s Ol’ Hippie Bluegrass radio show broadcast live on WWB from the festival. The Spinney Brothers opened the broadcast. They were followed by Out of the Blue and the Blankenships.

Friday brings Sugar Creek, The Spinney Brothers, Tim Shelton, Special C, Donna Ulisse, and Russell Moore to the Charlotte stage. Saturday will have New County Grass, Edgar Loudermilk, Blue Mafia, Larry Cordle, Becky Buller, and Michael Cleveland entertaining an appreciative crowd.
