New banjo man with Kenny & Amanda Smith

Event Details

Kenny & Amanda Smith are delighted to announce that their new banjo player will be Jason Davis, recently of Michelle Nixon & Drive. Only 17 years old, Jason has already established himself as a serious professional picker, and he is excited about getting a chance to play with Kenny & Amanda.

“This will be a great learning experience for me, and a lot of fun. Kenny’s guitar rhythm feels like it’s just made for a banjo, and I’ve been practicing like to crazy to learn all their material.”

Kenny Smith is also excited about the new addition, and what Jason can bring to the band:

“Jason has a drive and a timing that I had never really heard before, and it fits in great with the way I play.”

Jason will be with the band this coming weekend in Bloomingdale, GA at Randy Woods Guitars, at IBMA the following week, and at all subsequent shows.
