The 15th Nothin’ Fancy Bluegrass Festival held at Glen Maury Park in Buena Vista, Virginia kicked off Wednesday evening with a potluck supper and local bands on stage. Nothin’ Fancy did an acapella rendition of the National Anthem to start the evening. They were followed by Joseph Hott and Short Mountain, The Phat Grass Trio, Clearwater Branch, Augusta Blue, and Virginia Fast. Brenda and Calvin Lawson are emceeing this year’s event.
Thursday brings Flatt Lonesome, Chris Jones & the Night Drivers, The Larry Stephenson Band, The Spinney Brothers, and Nothin’ Fancy.
