What does this have to do with anything?

  • I understand completely. If it was my band and I was looking to hire someone, I would want to know what they looked like (i.e. how they groomed themselves and dressed). I wouldn’t want somebody that didn’t/wouldn’t dress appropriately for the gig.

Seeing as how they play in a lot of churches and other gospel settings I can understand their need for this kind of control over the band’s image.

And providing something like these photos should be no problem for a professional who’s interested in the gig. I would argue that all professional musicians should keep an up-to-date resume, with photos, on hand.
