The Gary Fergusons head to Ireland

Event Details

Gary G. Ferguson and Gary A. FergusonBluegrass singer/songwriter Gary Ferguson is preparing for his 10th tour in Ireland in the past ten years. He’s developed a large enough following through his regular visits to keep him busy from this Saturday (July 12) through to July 27.

Irish audiences respond enthusiastically to Gary’s folk-style bluegrass, and in past tours he has brought over other American grassers, or picked up Irish musicians to help support him on the road.

This year he’s found the ideal partner – Gary Ferguson. That would be Virginian Gary A. Ferguson, a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter completely unrelated to Gary G. Ferguson who is headlining the tour. Gary A. has worked on stage or in the studio with artists as diverse as Knoxville Grass, Donna Fargo, Claire Lynch, John Starling, and the Virginia Squires.

The pair will be appearing as Ferguson and Ferguson, and have dates at the big Athy Bluegrass Festival this weekend, followed by a string of shows at folk clubs throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Details on all their Irish dates can be found on Gary’s web site.
