New single coming soon from Grasstowne

Grasstowne is about to head back in the studio to get started on a new project for Rural Rhythm.

Mandolinist and band leader Alan Bibey told us that a debut single would be released by IBMA, with the full project due early in 2013.

“We can’t wait for everyone to hear the new stuff. It will be our first album with Dustin Pyrtle singing, and he is just killing it. All the guys are.

Next year is already set to be our best ever, and we are so thankful for all the support we’ve gotten from fans, bluegrass radio and the promoters across the country.”

Alan said that they will have a number of celebrity banjo players filling in until they choose a full time replacement for Justin Jenkins, who is leaving to work with American Drive.

“All of us wish Justin the best in this new endeavor, and will always remember the great times we had together on the road.”

They will also have an unnamed celebrity banjo player on the new CD, and maybe a couple of guest artists.

I tried, but Alan wouldn’t spill the beans.
