Last day at Bristol 2014

Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion 2014The 2014 Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion wrapped up Sunday and the entertainment provided on the Country Music Mural Stage proved to be powerful. Sunday’s artists included Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome, Mandolin Orange, Marty Raybon & Full Circle, and The Krueger Brothers. As always, Sunday is a more relaxed day at the festival. Fans don’t seem to be as harried, just enjoying a day of good music to wrap up their weekend. Thanks to Alane Anno of Alane Anno Photography, we can share a few of those moments.

The sets from Marty Raybon & Full Circle and The Kreuger Brothers were especially noteworthy. Raybon, always a crowd favorite, is a consummate entertainer who gets the audience involved. The emotion he conveys in his singing was evident as the crowd sang along, danced, and even cried at various times.

The Krueger Brothers showcased their musicianship with a set that, despite a brief rain shower, culminated in a standing ovation and an encore. The number of musicians in the audience watching this performance was evidence of the respect and admiration given to these artists.

The Country Music Mural Stage closed on Sunday evening after a successful 2014 festival. The weather was outstanding, with attendance which seemed to have increased from last year’s record. If you haven’t attended this event in the past, you should definitely take a look at your schedule for 2015 and make plans to do so. While you’re there, take a look at the new Birthplace of Country Music Museum, which is open extended hours during the festival.
