Mountain Home Music wants you to remember that Jaelee Roberts, who is lighting up stages all across the country with Sister Sadie, is also a solo recording artist. Making that point is her latest single, a fiery, ‘get-out-and-don’t-come-back’ anthem titled I’m Putting You Out of My Misery.
Roberts says that this one hit her right out of the box.
“I’m Putting You Out of My Misery is one of those songs that stopped me in my tracks the first time I heard it. Terry Herd wrote an incredible song, and I fell in love with it right away. To me, it strikes the perfect balance between that hard-driving traditional sound and a touch of contemporary bluegrass, and I absolutely love how everything came together in the studio. I’ve always enjoyed a song with a little bit of attitude, and this one definitely delivers!”
Assisting on the track are heavy hitters like Tony Wray on guitar, Ron Stewart on banjo, Justin Moses on mandolin and reso-guitar, Michael Cleveland on fiddle, and Alan Bartram on bass. Zack Arnold adds harmony vocals.
This one’s a firecracker. Have a listen.
I’m Putting You Out of My Misery is available now from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers via AirPlay Direct.
