Hot Rize in Ann Arbor

Event Details

Hot Rize

Hot Rize made the Ark in Ann Arbor, Michigan one of the current tour stops where they played to a packed house. About a third of the audience were seeing them for the first time. The rest of us were taking a ride back to our younger days. I saw Hot Rize first in the ’80s at the Wheatland Music Festival in mid-Michigan.

Red Knuckles and the Trailblazers gave Hot Rize a break and played their signature songs as well.

Rebecca and John Frazier opened the show with songs from her new project. Rebecca is a graduate of the University of Michigan, so it was kind of a homecoming show for her.

Maggie Bilby, who is one of Pete Wernick’s “Wernick Method” teachers, and her husband Gary, were in the audience and were able to have a picture with Pete.
