Gee, Let’s Run from Laney & Bishop

Event Details

Laney & Bishop

Sound Biscuit Records has new music from Laney & Bishop, a bluegrass instrumental they call Gee Let’s Run.

Laney & Bishop, aka guitarist Colby Laney and fiddler Danielle Bishop, are both musical and romantic partners, who also raise AKC-certified Labrador Retrievers from their home in east Tennessee. Though both are fine singers, they decided that this sprightly banjo tune was to be their next release.

Colby says that the tune resulted from an unexpected injury that sidelined him for a time.

Gee, Let’s Run was written after I tore my ACL during a pickup basketball game. The title plays on the musical term, ‘G Run,’ and the tune became a way to stay positive and look ahead during recovery. It’s an upbeat instrumental that reflects that mindset—something fun to play, fun to jam on and a reminder that better days are always coming.”

They brought in some heavy hitters to cut this one, with Aaron Ramsey on mandolin, Jason Burleson on banjo, and Jeff Partin on reso-guitar and bass.

Give Gee, Let’s Run a go.

Gee, Let’s Run is available now from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers via Get It Played and AirPlay Direct.
