Rudyfest kicked off Tuesday night with a surprise road guest. Lorraine Jordan was passing thru Grayson, Kentucky and stopped in at the festival grounds. She rounded up the Carolina Road crew and opened the festival, featuring a number of tunes from her new project, Country Grass. Local favorites, PPR followed. Blue Mafia closed the first evening of the festival. Rudyfest runs thru Saturday, June 27th.
Billie Renee, proclaimed “Queen of Rudy Fest” by the emcee, and Cumberland Gap opened the Wednesday show. Local band, Turning Ground was up next. Up and coming band Nightflyer gave the crowd full measure, and Marty Raybon and Full circle presented the finest in old time country, bluegrass, and gospel. Rudyfest favorites, Adkins and Loudermilk, closed the days show with their high energy, crowd grabbing music.
Thursday brings an all-star lineup to the stage with Volume 5, Wildfire, Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers, Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, and Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time.
