Daron Tate to Bonfire Music Group

Event Details

Daron Tate

Bonfire Music Group, a subsidiary of Pinecastle Records, has announced the signing of Oklahoma native Daron Tate to the label, and dropped a debut single to introduce his music to the market.

Born in Tulsa, Tate credits his raising within a tribal community as having a big impact on his songwriting and his song choices. His stylistic range is quite wide, as is his performing experience, and he describes his music these days as living at the intersection of Americana, Red Dirt, country, folk, and bluegrass.

For his first single with Bonfire, Daron has selected a Robert Earl Keen number, Feelin’ Good Again, produced by Irish-American roots and bluegrass artist Danny Burns.

Tate says of this one…

“I love this song for its imagery and the way it captures feelings of fulfillment upon returning home to friends and familiar music.

Robert Earl Keen has remained one of my favorite songwriters and performers of all time. I also have a tremendous amount of respect for what he has done for other artists in Americana music, including through his Americana Podcast, where he features artists and explores the genre’s roots and definition.”

Daron offers a distinct vocal styling, with a life-wearied tone that suits the song well. He also plays guitar, assisted by Liam Purcell on banjo, guitar, and mandolin, Billy Contreras on fiddle, and Ethan Burkhardt on bass.

See what you think.

Feelin’ Good Again is available now from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers via AirPlay Direct.
