Country Gongbang covers KPop Demon Hunters

Event Details

Country Gongbang

Here’s one for everyone who follows pop music and culture as well as bluegrass, brought to you by our favorite South Korean bluegrass group, Country Gongbang.

Inspired by the recent presentations of the Oscars by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences, our Korean friends have worked up an arrangement of Golden from Kpop Demon Hunters, a very popular animated feature. The song was named Best Original Song from a film as well as Best Song Written for Visual Media, notable in that this was the first K-pop song to win the award, something not lost on the Gongbangers.

The band includes Jongsu Yoon on fiddle, HyunHo Jang on banjo, Sunjae Won on guitar, KeeHa Song on bass, and Yebin Kim on mandolin and vocal who turns in an absolutely brilliant performance.

Check out their grassed-up version of Golden.

Be sure to visit Country Gongbang online, and follow them on social media. They will be touring in the US in April.
