Bluegrass fiddler, vocalist, and bandleader Bronwyn Keith-Hynes has announced her next album, Rattlin’ Bones, due in August, with two big changes in her artist persona.

First off, she’s lengthened her resume a bit, adding songwriter to her list of accomplishments. The new project will primarily feature material she has written or co-written, starting with the debut single, Sticks and Stones, which drops today.

Secondly, she has decided ‘enough with all the names,’ especially considering her married name added on at the end, and is going now simply as Bronwyn, Madonna-style.

What hasn’t changed is Bronwyn’s fiery fiddling, and her passion for contemporary bluegrass, as you can hear on Sticks and Stones, recorded with Bryan Sutton on guitar, Frank Evans on banjo, Harry Clark on mandolin, and Jeff Picker on bass. Darrell Scott steps in to sing harmony.

See what you think.

Stick and Stones is available now from popular download and streaming services online. Pre-orders for Rattlin’ Bones are likewise enabled, ahead of its August 14 release.

Radio programmers are invited to contact Sophia Romano with IVPR by email for an airplay copy of the track.
