Bluegrass on the Grass 2016

Event Details

Once again, Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania has hosted their free festival, Bluegrass on the Grass on campus. It’s an event for the local community, as most students are gone now for summer vacation, but faculty and staff also often attend.

And once again, Frank Baker was on hand to capture the festivities for posterity. We’ll share his photos over the next couple of days, starting with this round of images featuring three up-and-coming bands in our music.

High Fidelity is a new band in Nashville, dedicated to the early bluegrass of the ’50s and ’60s, Charm City Junction plays a fascinating blend of old time, Irish, and bluegrass music, and Coaltown Rounders favor a rough-and-rowdy style they call “blue collar bluegrass.”
