Bluegrass at The Liberty Showcase

Dewey BrownClinch Mountain Boys fiddler Dewey Brown and his wife, Leslie, have purchased a venue in Liberty, NC not far from their home in Burlington. It’s called The Liberty Showcase, and starting next month it will be showcasing bluegrass concerts amidst the country music shows already booked for this year.

For a Grand Opening on July 18, Dewey and Leslie have hired the boss man, Ralph Stanley with all his Clinch Mountain Boys who will perform two shows at 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. There will be a formal ribbon cutting at noon with Dewey, Ralph and Nathan Stanley, and Terry Caviness, Mayor of the town of Liberty. All are invited for the ceremony.

Dr. Ralph says that he is ready to support his loyal fiddle man, and do his first show in Liberty.

liberty“I’m looking forward to performing in Liberty, North Carolina. To my knowledge, this will be the first time I have played that town. I think we will have two wonderful crowds.

I’m proud to be the first bluegrass performer that has played there at the Liberty Showcase Theater in a long time.”

The Browns have already scheduled a number of other bluegrass shows for their new venue, which is convenient to the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Research Triangle areas of North Carolina. A Bass Mountain Boys Reunion Show is set for August 8, and one where Nathan Stanley and Bobby Osborne will perform December 12 with The Clinch Mountain Boys.

For ticket information, you may contact the Liberty Showcase online, or by phone at either 336-263-8496 or 336-622-3844. VIP ticket holders will be entitled to receive an autographed Ralph Stanley show poster the night of the concert.
