Bill Evans will be a guest on Wednesday morning’s Katy Daley Show on WAMU’s Bluegrass County.
He’ll be on with Katy at 9:00 a.m. to talk about his appearance at the 5th Annual Mike Seeger Old Time Banjo Festival at The Birchmere this Saturday (7/14).
Bill will join fellow banjoists Adam Hurt, Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer and Evie Laden – plus old time/ragtime/jazz group, Old 78s – in a banjo-centric evening of music in Alexandria, VA. His contribution will be performing pre-bluegrass music (way pre-bluegrass!) on a variety of vintage and period reproduction instruments.
I’m sure they will also discuss Bill’s recent CD, In Good Company, and maybe feature a tune or two.
