Bluegrass piece on DC local news

Event Details

Doug McElway, WJLA - Washington, DCDoug McElway is a popular television news anchor on WJLA, the ABC affiliate station in Washington, DC. He is also an accomplished bluegrass banjo player, a dedicated husband and father – and a daily reader of Bluegrass Today.

This past Tuesday (2/27), WJLA ran a precious piece Doug put together about his youngest son Alexander’s efforts to follow in his father’s footsteps – not in journalism, but in bluegrass music.

Doug agreed to let us publish the clip on Bluegrass Today, and I think a lot of folks will get a kick out of watching it. We may be seeing the debut of a future bluegrass prodigy!

It’s a large file, so if you are on a slow connection, you might want to click play and then pause to let it load before trying to watch.
