David Nance to Hagars Mountain Boys

Event Details

North Carolina’s Hagar’s Mountain Boys have added veteran resonator guitarist David Nance to their lineup.

Nance worked with bluegrass legend Jimmy Martin for 18 years, becoming the first full-time reso man to work with The Sunny Mountain Boys. He joined the group in 1987 when fiddler Charlie Cline left the band, and earned the sobriquet “Little Sweets” from the boss man himself.

He joins current Hagars Ricky Stroud on mandolin, Blake Johnson on bass, Mike Johnson on guitar and Cliff Smith on banjo.

Their latest CD, Forever Yours, was released late last year on Mountain Fever Records.
