Owensboro site plans include the IBMM

Event Details

Owensboro developmentThe city of Owensboro continues with its commitment to promote bluegrass music and the International Bluegrass Music Museum as part of its efforts to rebuild the riverfront and historic downtown districts.

Scheduled for completion by 2013, the downtown/riverfront update will include a new hotel, restaurants, riverfront parks, a 100,000+ sq. ft. indoor events center, and a new bluegrass music center.

The State Office Building site will now become the new International Bluegrass Music Center, complete with an outdoor concert venue. (14wfie.com)

Exactly how the IBMM will fit into the picture has yet to be revealed, but this looks like exciting news for the museum and Kentucky bluegrass in general.
