Dustin Benson to Special C

Event Details

Special Consensus has announced that Dustin Benson is the new guitarist with the band. He is replacing Ryan Roberts, who had been with Special C since the Fall of 2009.

Dustin is a native of South Alabama, and comes from a family of talented bluegrass pickers and singers. He had been working of late on bass with Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road, and before that on guitar with Larry Stephenson.

Special C numero uno Greg Cahill is happy to welcome Benson to the group.

“Dustin resides in the Nashville area and, although we hate to see Ryan leave us, we are excited to bring Dustin into the band. His first Special C performance will be at FitzGerald’s in Berwyn, IL on April 30 (Special C and the Henhouse Prowlers).”

Cahill is packing for his trip to England next week, where he will be on the faculty of Sore Fingers Week 2011, hence the delay in Dustin’s first show.

You can find all the Special C tour dates on the band’s official web site.
