Nu-Blu on Goin’ Across The Mountain

Event Details

Dennis Jones, host of Goin’ Across The Mountain on WNCW, will be featuring music today (7/16) from the upcoming Pinecastle CD, The Blu-Disc from fellow North Carolinians, Nu-Blu.

The album, due August 9, is based on the picking and singing of Carolyn and Daniel Routh. He’s on guitar, and she’s on bass, with the two taking turns on lead and harmony vocals. They are joined by Levi Austin on banjo and guitar, and Kendall Gales on mandolin, with special guests Rob Ickes on resonator guitar and Greg Luck on fiddle.

Material is drawn from a number of popular contemporary writers like Tim Stafford, Jon Weisberger, Tony Rackley, Donna Ulisse, and Mark Brinkman.

The band is offering a free track if you sign up for their newsletter online, and you can catch the rest of the music from The Blu-Disc by tuning Dennis in from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. this afternoon.
