Jim VanCleve heading back home

Event Details

Jim VanCleve - photo by Ted LehmannJim VanCleve, Mountain Heart fiddler and busy Nashville session player/producer, is set to return home today from his weekend stay at the Vanderbilt Medical Center.

He had been hospitalized on Friday after his white blood count plunged to a dangerous level following his contracting Dengue Fever while working in St. Croix earlier this month. A blood transfusion had been planned to arrest this decline, but they were able to accomplish this by other means.

Jim is expected to require several weeks to regain his strength, but the doctors feel that this can be accomplished at home.

Wonderful news! Let’s hope for much more.
