John Bryan undergoes emergency appendectomy

Event Details

John Bryan, the newest member of The Grascals, had to undergo an emergency appendectomy last night at the hospital near his home in Boone, NC.

The band was performing Saturday night at the Mountaineer Opry House in Milton, WV and John reported feeling poorly during the show. Once they finished on stage, he got much worse and had considered going straight to the ER in Milton.

But he decided that he wanted to get home first, and went to the hospital in Boone when he got back to town. Doctors there scheduled him for surgery which was performed Monday night.

The surgery went well and John is now at home and resting.

The band has a nice break following a show on Thursday night in Raleigh, so he should be full strength for their New Year’s Eve performance at Nashville’s Station Inn.

Abdominal pain is something you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. Glad to hear that John is on the mend.
