15th Annual KSMU Youth In Bluegrass Band Contestants

Event Details

Silver Dollar CitySilver Dollar City in Branson, MO has announced the 23 bands that have been accepted into this year’s KSMU Youth In Bluegrass Band Contest. The competition is scheduled for May 28 at the park during their annual Bluegrass & BBQ Festival, which runs throughout the month of May.

All band members must be 21 or younger as of the contest date, though parents of younger children are allowed.

Winners will receive:

  • 1st place – $1500
  • 2nd place – $1000
  • 3rd place – $750
  • 4th place – $500
  • 5th place – $250

The following groups have been invited to compete in 2016.

  • 2nd Time Around – Stephenville, TX
  • The Band Anastazja – Attica, NY
  • BlueHart – Chapmansboro, TN
  • The Baker Family – Birch Tree, MO
  • Farnum Family – Galena, MO
  • Foxglove Pickers – Smithton, IL
  • The Foust Family – Vinita, OK
  • The Graham Family – Winchester, KY
  • The Hall Sisters Band – Ellis Grove, IL
  • KBA Treblemakers – Wichita, KS
  • Kentucky Drive – Florissant, MO
  • The Ozark River Ramblers – Elkins, AR
  • Pearlgrace & Co. – Stillwater, OK
  • Resonating Grace – Greenbrier, AR
  • Riegle Family Band – Muncie, IN
  • The Ross Family – Piedmont, MO
  • Route 3 Ramblers – Red Bud, IL
  • Russell Clan – Guthrie, OK
  • Rusty Nail Crossing – Michigan City, IN
  • The Sowell Family Pickers – Hempstead, TX
  • The Templetons – Lostant, IL
  • Twang – Pleasant Grove, AR
  • The Worthing10s Family Bluegrass Band – Evansville, IL
