O Come, O Come, Emmanuel from Punch Brothers

One of 2012′s holiday hits is the album, Holidays Rule, released by the Starbuck’s label, Hear Music, and Concord Music Group. It features a bevy of pop, jazz and indie rocks artists, from Paul McCartney to The Shins, performing new and classic Christmas music in their own unique styles.

Two outliers also appear, The Preservation Jazz Hall band with Imma Thomas, and the nearly uncategorizable Punch Brothers, who contribute this lovely, orchestrated version of an ancient melody.
