Been listening to the new Mountain Heart CD “The Road That Never Ends” for the last couple of days and it is great. Really captures the sound of their live show and shows their versatility on several tracks.
They include a blues number and a piano rendition of “Whipping Post.” While these may fall outside of ‘mainstream’ bluegrass they definitely please those of us who listen to more than one genre of music.
My wife commented over and over again how much she enjoyed the CD. She never comments on many of my other bluegrass CDs. She may like a song or two but she never listens to an entire bluegrass CD. She listened to this one twice in a row.
