Mountain Heart – how far to Little Rock?

A number of YouTube videos have been posted from Mountain Heart’s fiery performance this past weekend at the Wildwood Park for the Arts/Lucy Lockett Cabe Theatre in Little Rock, AR.

They offer a live look at a number of songs from their just-released CD, That Just Happened, plus other favorites from their current stage show. For those who haven’t seen the band in person recently, these videos also showcase the group’s new guitarist, Jake Stargell, a slimmed-down version of fiddler Jim Van Cleve, and a new coif for mando-man Aaron Ramsey.

Here’s Josh Shilling with the title cut from the new album…

… and Ramsey on Little Sadie, also from the new CD.

A real highlight here is Stargel on Mountain Heart’s cover of Tony Rice’s cover of James Taylor’s Me And My Guitar.

You can hear audio samples from That Just Happened in the Mountain Heart online store.
