Infamous String Dusters in the Black Swamp

If you will be in the NW Ohio or SE Michigan area this weekend, you may be interested in checking out the 15th Annual Black Swamp Arts Festival, which is being held in Bowling Green, Ohio on September 7th, 8th and 9th.  The festival is a celebration of the visual and performing arts centered around a juried art show and live musical performances on multiple stages, and the best part is that all festival activites (including the musical performances) are entirely FREE and open to the public.

Over the years, the festival organizers have worked hard to provide an interesting mix of musical styles and genres in the program, and have often featured Bluegrass in that mix.  This year is no exception, as the Infamous String Dusters are one of the featured headliners on the main stage, as well as an up-close-and-personal set in the Huntington Courtyard patio on Sunday.  In addition to the String Dusters, other Bluegrass acts included in the lineup are The Student Loan (a local group comprised of students from Bowling Green State University,) and Kentucky-based Blind Corn Liquor Pickers.

There are also a full selection of food, beverage and childrens activites available in addition to the art and music activities, so there is something to please nearly everyone to be found over the course of the weekend.
