Donnie Carver hospitalized

Event Details

Donnie Carver, long time traveling sound man with IIIrd Tyme Out, was hospitalized near his home in North Carolina last week after suffering a heart attack. He suffered a second while in the hospital and his doctors had tentatively planned open heart surgery for this morning (1/4) to alleviate major blockage in his arteries.

Steve Dilling, 3TO banjo player, tells us that the doctors put in two stents which are working well, and have sent Donnie home to recover before deciding whether to do surgery or not. They are hopeful that two more stents can be put in to avoid bypass surgery altogether.

Donnie is only 48 years old and in generally good health. Just goes to show…  you never know.

Well wishes can be sent via the band.

Here’s hoping we see him back at the board real soon!
