Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart milestone

In only four short weeks, the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart has reached 100 reporting stations.

We are delighted to acknowledge our 100th, WAMU’s Bluegrass country in Washington, DC. Shortly after he took over as Senior Music Producer at the station, Chris Teskey signed them up to report to our chart. Welcome aboard!

The station broadcasts at 105.5 FM in the DC market, on HD radio at. 88.5-2, and online at www.bluegrasscountry.org where they have quite a presence. In September of this year, they show 32,928 unique listeners tuned in online for a total of 90,313 hours.

This week’s chart includes a new feature. From this point forward, songwriters’ names will also appear in the list, along with the song titles and artist names.

Starting next week, we will also collate weekly airplay into a monthly spin chart. The November chart should go live on Tuesday.

And look for audio samples within the chart display soon as well.

Thanks to all the show hosts and stations who report to us. It’s what makes our chart administrator Terry Herd feel like the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart is the new gold standard for our industry.
