I first got to hear Bill Monroe sevel months ago, when I got a two CD set of him. I have heard him a long time ago and I liked him. But it wasn’t until now that found how much I enjoyed his music.I have lately read Can’t You Hear Me Callin’ The Life Of Bill Monroe, by Richard D. Smith. It was a touching story. Bill Monroe has written some of the most beautiful songs in Bluegrass music, and he was the Father. He has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard, and his Mandolin playing was fabulous. He wanted to touch peoples hearts, and that he did, Bill Monroe is truely a legend that lives on.
