Darin & Brooke Aldridge are bringing in one of bluegrass music’s rare triple threats in Becky Buller, announced yesterday as the newest member of their band.
In addition to her demonstrated skill as a fiddler and vocalist, Becky is a strong songwriter, something that any band is delighted to find. And she has papers, having won the Chris Austin songwriting contest in 2001.
Buller is stepping in to the spot vacated by Rachel Johnson Boyd, who held down the fiddle/vocal gig this past three years, and is looking forward to starting her new role in 2013.
“I’m thrilled to have the chance to pick and sing with Darin and Brooke. They have a great sound and their group is fantastic. Plus they’re just downright nice folks AND they travel in a Sun Drop sponsored sprinter. (My husband and I are Sun Drop fanatics from way back.)
I know this is going to be a lot of fun!”
