Vacationland Bluegrass Camp

Event Details

At Vacationland ​Jam ​Camp ​we have ​a friendly, ​low-key​ ​environment ​on the shores of Penobscot Bay ​in ​beautiful Searsport, Maine where you can learn ​​to ​play ​Bluegrass ​music.​

Our teachers are some of the area’s top Bluegrass musicians, including Erica Brown and Matt Shipman (Erica Brown and the Bluegrass Connection), Steve Roy (Darol Anger, Molly Tuttle Band, Joy Kills Sorrow, Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen) and Carter Logan (The Jerks of Grass).

Join us Friday, September 15th to Sunday, September 17th. You’ll work in small groups, learning the secrets of playing backup and taking breaks. You’ll also learn:

Jamming ​etiquette
How ​to ​lead ​a ​song
Instrumental blending
How to take a break
Harmony singing​
