What:  2007 Mountain Bluegrass Camp for Kids
When:  July 19 & 20
Where:  Center for the Arts – Music Center

REGISTRATION HAS BEGUN for the 5th annual, Jackson Hole Music Experience Mountain Bluegrass Camp for Kids.  Students will be immersed in old-time, good time acoustic music for two full days this summer at the new Music Center at the Center for the Arts.  The camp is July 19th & 20th from 10 am – 4 pm and is for ages 9 – 17.  The cost is $150 and campers should bring a sack lunch and their instrument.

The camp offers beginning to advanced instruction with talented educators.  This is a great chance for students to improve on the stringed instrument of their choice in a fun, inspiring atmosphere.

The Faculty includes:

Justin Smith – Guitar, Vocals, and Song Writing
Anne Sibley – Vocals and Song Writing
Pete Sibley – Banjo, Guitar, and Mandolin
Dave McCann – Bass and Guitar
Kathy McCann – Fiddle and Vocals
2 Special Guest Clinicians

Students break up into small groups and learn what it takes to form a band, develop a song list, and perform. They will also get a chance to workshop their specific instrument.  In the afternoon, the entire group gathers for group instruction and a good old fashioned jam session.

The student bands will perform a short concert at the end of camp, Friday afternnoon at 3:30.  The kids will also have the opportunity to join the Siblieys in a public performance at the Art Association Art Fair in Miller Park on Saturday July 21.

REGISTRATION FORMS are avaliable at The Center for the Arts Information Desk.  Simply fill out the form, write a check to JHME, and send to: JHME, PO Box 2730, Jackson Wy. 83001.  Sign up early for this popular summer camp!

Scholarship applications are avaliable upon request.
