Benita Murphy of Delta Reign here. We’ve been working hard and performing a lot the last year or two to get more exposure and just wanted to let folks know that we have our first major CD review in the July issue of Bluegrass Now magazine, written by Don Kissil, former editor of Pickin’ magazine.
We are a bluegrass band from the Mobile River delta area in Mobile, AL. We come from a traditional background of bluegrass and honor our roots, but are stretching the boundaries a bit. We’re labeling it our sound “bluegrass…delta style”.
We are trying to get out and around the country to perform as much as possible. If you’d like to check our sound out, we will be performing a live radio broadcast this Wed. evening, June 20th, from Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin, FL. The Show is called WUWF “Radio Live” 88.1 FM public radio from the Florida panhandle. You can listen in to the broadcast live on the web by clicking on this link: http://wuwf.org/radiolive/radiolive.shtml The show starts at 7 pm. Also performing are Stephen Simmons and Alan Ready. We will be playing two 13 minute sets.
