Merry Christmas from Lou Reid & Carolina

Event Details

Christmas In The Blue Ridge - Lou Reid & CarolinaIt would seem that Lou Reid & Carolina are shooting for an early start on the holiday spirit. They have a single just released to radio, a new yuletide song, Christmas In The Blue Ridge, written by Lou and Terry Foust.

It was recorded recently by Wes Easter at Eastwood Studios with Lou’s regular band (Lou on mandolin and lead vocal, Christy Reid on bass and vocal, Skip Cherryholmes on guitar and vocal, and Trevor Watson on banjo), with Ron Stewart on fiddle. After a brief instrumental introduction, the song slips into the comfortable, mid-tempo bluegrass groove that Reid has been famous for this past 20 years as a bandleader.

Here’s a little taste…

Radio programmers can download the track now from Airplay Direct. The single will be available for download sale closer to Christmas time.
